Goodnight, Texas
Goodnight, Texas
Goodnight, Texas got a post office in 1888. Some time later, Patrick Dyer Wolf and Avi Vinocur came across each other out in San Francisco and took to learning each other's melodies. Young Avi came from people with deep roots in the skinny part of Maryland. Young Patrick was out west to seek thrills but after a year or two he went east to find fortune and love in the Carolinas. Before he left, they put some songs to tape, and kept in touch.

They met again on the east coast and then the west coast, picking up steam and band members. They played in earnest. "A Long Life of Living" is the product of their travels, their whispers and roars, their sounds made with steel and wood, and the echo of our country's past and the town of Goodnight, exactly halfway between their current residences (if you take I-40.)
Patrick Dethlefs
Patrick Dethlefs
(Pronounced “DET-Lefs”)

Patrick Dethlefs’ songwriting crests like a humble Townes Van Zandt, innocent of his own haunting melodies and lyricism. Dethlefs’ new release Fall and Rise offers folk Americana with effortless sincerity at a time when many acts strive purposefully to revive the stripped-down feel of a musical history long past.

Now only in his early 20s, Patrick won the Best Teen Songwriter Award (2009) at Swallow Hill Music—one of the largest non-profit organizations in the U.S. dedicated to developing folk and acoustic music. Patrick also received Best Song and Best Performance.

Perhaps the innate nostalgia embedded in Patrick’s music takes root in the age at which he began playing. Inspired by his father who he lost when he was young, Patrick first picked up a guitar when he was 12. Also a musician, Patrick’s father leaves a crescendoing legacy through his son who is not only humble, but humbling, through his unassuming creative presence.

He has opened several engagements for Nathaniel Rateliff, played and recorded with members of Paper Bird. Patrick has also shared the stage with notables Gregory Alan Isakov, Jeff Austin (Yonder Mountain String Band), Sarah Anderson (Paper Bird), Mountain Man, and Horse Feathers.

Fall and Rise follows impressive reception of 2010′s Stays the Same and Patrick’s split release with the Eye and the Arrow: “Dethlefs’ songs show maturity beyond his years”(Matt Pusatory, Onion A/V Club Denver Boulder).
Wolf van Elfmand
Wolf van Elfmand
Wolf van Elfmand is an American songwriter and performer based out of Denver, CO. Wolf begun his career in Brooklyn, NY in 2009 when he collaborated with producer Cedar Apffel on his self titled EP. Since then van Elfmand has released 3 full length albums, "Magic to the Lonely" "Wolf Sings" and "The Death of" which span from finger-picking blues to eerie operatic compositions. He is currently completing his latest project, "Real Wolf" produced with Dango Rose of Elephant Revival. Wolf maintains a truly unique style in songwriting while continuing to pay homage to American classics such as Roy Orbison and Mississippi John Hurt. Quirky songs are enhanced by compelling lyrics, witty banter, and disarming charm. Leaving the audience member not sure if they should laugh, or listen.
