Casey James Prestwood and the Burning Angels
Casey James Prestwood and the Burning Angels
If the late night scene on Broadway Street in Nashville, Tennessee could talk, they'd sing you a Casey James Prestwood tune. Drenched in the honest twang that made Gram Parsons and Hank Williams household names, the classic crooner's carefree vocals and careful guitar playing feel more like country than a worn-in pair of cowboy boots.
Gasoline Lollipops
Gasoline Lollipops
According to the Denver Post, the unique sounds of Gasoline Lollipops (fronted by singer-songwriter Clay Rose) are like "the Coen Brothers and Nick Cave holed up in Nashville after a near-death experience." Gasoline Lollipops is a Boulder band that combines the sincerity of dirt-floor folk with the energy and rebelliousness of punk. It's an all-new incarnation of alt-country that’s both high-energy and heartfelt, like the American highway's soundtrack.

This year Colorado Daily readers voted Gasoline Lollipops "Best Local Musician/Group" for 2017. In 2016, Denver Westword named Gasoline Lollipops "Best Country Artist." The group, which released its debut LP *Resurrection* on Valentine's Day 2017, plays its first European tour this fall and will celebrate the release of *Soul Mine* on Saturday, December 16 at the Fox Theatre in Boulder.

Here’s what others are sayin’ about the GasPops:
"A group that combines elegance with grit and a rambunctious intensity" - Denver Westword
"Uncompromised, vicious and authentic" - The Denver Post
"One part rockabilly and one part alternative rock, the Gasoline Lollipops have carved out a space for themselves in the Boulder music scene with a sound and feel that is all their own" - Colorado Daily
5 & Dimers
5 & Dimers
5 & Dimers started on a whim when longtime sideman, Jeff Rady, and vocalist, Dustin Devine, discovered they wrote some good country songs, but had no band to play them. After a decade of playing other peoples' songs in a multitude of bands, they felt it was time to try a hand at their own record.

Before long, studio time was booked at the Denver institution Macy Sound Studios where they committed eight songs straight to tape in two days. With little time and a patched together band of some local studio aces, they created a raw and authentic sound that recalled how country records were made in the mid-1960s. 5 and Dimers celebrate that era by mixing a blend of country, old school rock and roll with just a hint of psychedelia.
