It's a long drive back from Vegas when your band breaks up, a lesson Mike Herrerra learned from the demise of The Blackout Pact while on tour in November 2006. Undaunted, Herrerra returned home and recruited Denver transplants Josh Friedman and Matt Clark, while Ryan Kelly moved from Cleveland in January of 2007 to start the band. This new group, Sleeper Horse, would combine ragged, heartfelt punk rock with indie-rock and art-punk influences, allowing them to share the stage with such bands as Alkaline Trio, The Draft, Minus the Bear, The Gaslight Anthem, Meneguar, 3oh!3, Planes Mistaken For Stars, and many others.
The split 7-inch with Cleveland's Echoes of Harper's Ferry is available NOW! Look for the debut Sleeper Horse full length before the end of the year. D.O.O.N.E.

Orphans

"After one listen to their debut, Denver' CO's Orphans should have fans of dark, brooding hardcore clamoring for more. Taking cues from bands like These Arms Are Snakes and Circle Takes The Square, Orphans turn hardcore upside down on Pack Mentality. Chaotic with metallic urges, Orphans ferocity is striking as the band sounds matured beyond their newness. Yet, what is unique when listening to Pack Mentality, is that no matter how ferocious or frenetic the music may be, there remains a calm eye in Orphans' storm. The band revolves around that core center with such measured brutality and precision. Where some of their peers make the mistake of letting the heart fall too close to the sleeve, Orphans heart remains firmly intact. The emotions never overpower the machine. Orphans don't pick up the torch left smoldering by other bands, they piss on it and then destroy it entirely. " -Will Miller, Bear Trap PR
Scooter James

Been playin in bands for 17 years, toured the world, my comfort zone has become a tomb. The thought of playing acoustic has always scared the shit out of me, so...... A high flying flunkie blood drunk and dangerous. Imagine me singing ill eat your children to the tune of for whom the bell tolls and maybe, just maybe you'll know where Im comin from!
