SoundRabbit formed as a four piece band in April of 2007, releasing their first album, This Room Becomes A Crowd, in November of that year. In its short history as a band, SoundRabbit has already graced the Main Stage of the famed Red Rocks Amphitheater (Morrison CO), the Bluebird Theatre (Denver CO), the Boulder Theatre (Boulder CO), Fox Theater (Boulder CO), Nectar’s (Burlington VT), Jazzhaus (Lawrence KS), the Main Stage of the 2008 Tempe Music Festival in Arizona, and countless colleges and venues from Phoenix to Des Moines to New York City to Portland, Maine.
They’ve proudly shared the stage with incredible artists including Band of Horses, TV on the Radio, Bill McKay of Leftover Salmon, the Gin Blossoms, Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas, Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings, the Avett Brothers, Ryan Montbleau Band, Cowboy Mouth, Matthew Moon, the Meat Puppets, Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers, among others.
SoundRabbit has a fervent grassroots following with whom they stay intimately involved through their web-based “Backstage” membership program. The Backstage program is SoundRabbit’s vision of the future of the music industry, giving fans access to unlimited music and loads of other content, all the while generating revenues for charities and social causes through the community. SoundRabbit fans have long known that the band’s live show has an infectious effect on audiences, and the press is taking note as well. As the title of their debut album, This Room Becomes A Crowd, would prophetically indicate, the SoundRabbit fanbase is indeed growing both nationally and at home in the Rocky Mountain region.
