We have just finished recording, mixing and mastering the new Physics of Meaning album, “Snake Charmer and Destiny at the Stroke of Midnight”. It’s an ambitious retelling of the creation story: talking serpents, wishing wells, prophetic dreams, secret worlds, magic spells, all wrapped up some heartbroken love songs. The Physics of Meaning is earnest, pretty chamber rock from Daniel Hart (St. Vincent, John Vanderslice, The Polyphonic Spree, Annuals), Mark Paulson (Bowerbirds, The Rosebuds, Ticonderoga), Alex Lazara (The Prayers and Tears of Arthur Digby Sellers), David Karsten Daniels and countless musical friends and family. String section, choir, harp, reeds, glockenspiel, lots of guitars, and lots of violin solos.
