This “power trio” integrates a profound understanding and respect for music with an explosive sound and a youthful exuberance. They consider their main influences to be Radiohead, Coldplay, and Nirvana; in many ways, the sophistication of Radiohead, the striking melodies and intense build ups of Coldplay, and the stupefying energy and emotion of Kurt Cobain and Nirvana all seem to play themselves into the overall sound of For Love of Ivy.

While the success of many musicians aged 16-18 rely on nearly exact replicas of popular bands, not only musically but also appearance wise, the members of For Love of Ivy have always stayed true to themselves. Priding themselves on non-conformity and years of musical training accounts for the distinctiveness of the music they create.

For Love of Ivy is a band started by Beau Osland in mid year of 2006. Beau is an aspiring 17 year old musician, out there to have some fun and make music that he and hopefully everyone else will enjoy.
