BAND
Cave Singers

Those still mourning the disbandment of Pretty Girls Make Graves (R.I.P.) can get their more acoustic kicks out via PGMG/Murder City Devils bassist Derek Fudesco’s new band, the Cave Singers, who have just signed to Matador.

Percussionist Mary Lund (formerly of Cobra High) and former Hint Hint frontman Pete Quirk join Fudesco in the Cave Singers, and PGMG vocalist Andrea Zollo even augments the trio on occasional washboard duties. Yes, you read that correctly: she plays the washboard.

The Singers are rearin’ to get things started with Matador, as they have already recorded their debut album with producer Colin Stewart (PGMG, Black Mountain). The album is titled Invitation Songs, but Matador has yet to give it a release date.
