BAND
Casey James Prestwood & the Burning Angels

Casey James Prestwood, best known for his groundbreaking work as lead guitarist and driving force behind emo/indie cornerstone group Hot Rod Circuit, will soon be releasing his debut solo album, The Hurtin’ Kind. Not one to stick to current trends, Casey’s debut showcases his life-long passion of honky tonk from the good ol’ days of country rock n roll in the 1970s, evoking memories of Gram Parsons and Merle Haggard. Although a seasoned pedal steel player himself, he brought Prestwood brought some of the finest musicians in the studio to help round out his vision. Featuring an eclectic cast ranging from Neil Flanz, pedal steel player for Parsons himself, to Arabella Harrison, front woman of emo pioneers Jejune, Prestwood’s band helps each song sound top notch. The Hurtin’ Kind will be released June 26th by Lowe Farm Records, but you pre-orders are shipping now for only $10 and come with an exclusive, non-album track at the time of release. Also keep your eyes posted for tour dates this spring with Limbeck and Hot Rod Circuit.
